Hard to do a solutions story about a problem that is one-off?

It is hard to do a solutions story about a problem that is one-off because there is not a clear pattern, as another colleague wrote in their post. And I would add that it is also hard because there is no guarantee that the solution itself will then apply to another situation, even if that situation is similar. But, like I have learned from colleagues who have written and shared their knowledge about solutions journalism, I would also say that working on a solutions-based story is still important and relevant even if evidence of success or failure seems singular. One situation can shed light on another one, and the sooner solutions or actionable possibilities are found to better someone's circumstances, or to challenge problems hurting people, the better.
